WoW Contest Entry WIP: Blocking

I guess I never updated on here about this... so I'm doing it now!

Blizzard's annual Student Art Contest for World of Warcraft is here. I've been trying to come up with something all winter break, but you know, the slump happens and yea...

I ideally wanted to be working on it all break, but I'm working on it now and I have less than 9 days to submit something.

I've had this going since school started and I feel like it's a good start with blocking. I just need to time and space it better. I followed the reference pretty precise.

It's a weird camera angle right now since it's a game animation, it will be submitted playing at 4 different angles.

Already it's kind of a different experience animating for game. What with the 360 compatibility not just animating to a camera and also it's 30 fps, which I suppose you hardly notice, but still; It's different.

I'm having a lot of fun with this project and I'm trying to approach it as not putting tons of pressure on myself for the contest, but just to enjoy the process and I'll turn in whatever I've got.

It's just sad that I keep needing to put this on the back burner for school. Of course once I finish school work it's always too late and I'm too tired to work on anything else the rest of the night.

So sorry that I didn't work on it over winter. I tried to start it, but it wasn't successful until later. I got my reference and everything set up late break so at least I did something I suppose.

But looking forward to how this turns out and also excited for the next assignment that is of the like.
