Last First Week of School
...hopefully.
But anyway, school has started back up and I have survived Week 1. As usual, we've really hit the ground running.
Some setbacks occurred right to the end of the summer and I sadly did not complete my kung fu animation. I ended up starting over from blocking and this is what I have so far.
Nonetheless, even though it's devastating, I am still determined to finish it.
As far as school goes, it's been all walk cycles. Below is the START of a cat walk cycle. Ignoring the body, I've been working to perfect the footsteps. Fortunately, I found some fun reference of cats on treadmills which helped a lot.
I'm finding that this isn't the best rig as there is a lack of clavicle controls. However, I am still getting the quadruped practice that I so need.

As for this one below, it's a class WIP. I am trying to emulate some sassiness with this walk, but acting and performance is still hard for me, which is what this class is all about and what animation is truly about. So... I guess it's a good thing that I'm taking this class.

All while doing all of this, I am taking yet another online class, which isn't so bad so far. And I am still working on shots for that gradd film.
So of course, there's a packed schedule ahead of me, but I'm happy about it. I really need the push especially with CTN coming up and it's all really helping with the motivation. I'm doing my best to keep a positive attitude even as graduation looms ahead.
I'm even starting to pack lunches to ensure that I can stay in the lab longer and more often.
