3D Production Textured Models
Finished models with textures.
I'll admit that this texturing was difficult at first with trying to get the UV's to work, but it ended up being a lot of fun because the results were so satisfying. Everyone says that the surfacing is the fun part, and I can agree.
It's one of those things that encourages me to want to practice modeling more. Seeing how the struggle is worth it because of satisfying results really motivates me to want to continue to practice modeling. I constantly say that I want to get better at modeling and study it more, but a lot of times I find it too frustrating. But seeing how it could be and even better is what keeps me coming back to it.
Now I'll admit, the lighting on this isn't too great. It was the lighting that my professor wanted us to use, but to compensate I probably should have set the bump higher because the texture looked way better and more realistic with the lighting I had before, but there wasn't time for me to fix it before it was due
The render ended up taking nearly 5 hours.. .yea I must have done something wrong...
But nonetheless, I'm happy with it. I mean, this is the best of anything modeling/surfacing-related I've ever done.
And this was my first time ever messing with XGen. So lots of new fun things.
Now rigging is another story. It's already intimidating me since I am taking my first and only rigging class concurrently, so I'm a little behind, but I know that I will figure it out.
