Lip Sync "Lemons" WIP: Practice + Blocking Pass 1

Since I've some how miraculously been ahead in my work, I decided to do some personal animation practice. No hours wasted here!

Lip Sync is something that I haven't done yet at all in Maya. I feel like there have been so many times where I've set up an animation to include a lip sync, but never brought it to completion. However, this was WAYYY back in the beginning when I was first trying out Maya and I was trying to be a little too ambitious and was wanting to make these full-out scenes with action and dialogue and it was just too much. Heck, I skipped right over the bouncing ball!

And after getting advice on starting small and when it comes to practicing lip sync, to only show the head and only do a very short bit of audio rather than an entire dialogue, I decided to do just that.

Now, this is just the 1st blocking pass on only the lips. I certainly need to go in and block out the rest of his face to give him more expression, but now this is the first time I can say I went through with the lip sync.

I'd really like to see where this goes. Something like this can be completed in a day or two, but of course, schoolwork never rests.

Ideally I'd like to animate the rest of this dialogue too. And truly ideally I'd like to complete this with body action!

Also, in other news, my computer is being sent back to me! And should be here as early as tomorrow!!!! :D
