Waving Flag Trial 1 & 2

^(this was technically my 3rd trial but it didn't look too different from the 2nd)

Our next assignment is to animate a waving flag. Much more tedious than it may seem. This video is where I left it at. Still needs a lot of work. I'm not finished. I'm hoping to finish in the next two days. I plan to have another swing in there and also slow the whole thing down.

The first trial was way worse.

I threw a random fold in the middle thinking it would look good. Boy, was I wrong. Also my creases were all in the wrong direction. Let's also not forget to mention how the flag constantly changes size. But I learned!

I was totally just winging it. I watched a video of a billowing flag on YouTube for some reference. Oh the joy of traditional 2D animation where you don't know how it's going to look until you go to shoot it. I'm starting to get a hang of the whole page flipping thing.
