Blocking Round 2


My second blocking pass. Obviously a lot smoother.
Though this has revealed to me even more the flaws in this. One of the problems I think that the animation isn't quite perfect is because the reference isn't perfect.
I didn't realize until later that the reference I'm using has the camera tracking the guy. Therefore, the foot is sliding a lot in this animation because it's a moving camera.
I also feel like the bounce of my guy's head is a little too much. I still need to animate the face too.
This pass is definitely still way better than the first attempt with my own reference. It's just unfortunate that this reference didn't turn out to be ideal either. But it was definitely way better having the two different perspectives.
Next, I'm going to try splining. But if this doesn't work I may just have to block on ones and then spline. Guess we'll find out.
