MOME Matte Exercise

This assignment was another small exercise teaching us how to use the Track Matte feature in After Effects. I've used this tool before and have found it extremely useful especially in VFX.

I've been dialing it down a bit on these MOME projects since I've realized that they aren't meant to be a big deal. I mean, I'm all for going at it with my all, and I'm still going to try to make it look good, but I'm not going to stay up all night every time because I'm realizing that for these projects, they aren't worth it. They're not even full out projects. We don't even critique them in class or look at them. It's probably best that I save my energy for when the big, real projects do hit. Also, I'm beginning to pour more of my energy into modeling and drawing.

Also, since my focus has switched to character animation, this class is of less importance in the long-term. However, I do still enjoy it.
