I get nervous when I write these words. I make a list every year. I've even done this in high school. Thankfully, I've been able to accomplish most if not all the things on this list every summer. However, my goals in the past have been broad. I would write things like: "work on..." or "try..."

This summer though, I am going to need to commit and have an end goal in mind.

It still feels weird to have passed up on an actual internship opportunity and also to pass up on the chance for it again this summer. But I try to keep promising myself that I will be glad that I did later. And that it's better because my work isn't up to par anyway to be worthy of a real and actually good internship. More importantly, I should be shooting for paid internships. Time is passing quickly as always. I have 2 more years to prepare for the industry world. By the end of this summer I should without a doubt feel confident about my path, my desires, my passions, and my skills. I need to be certain and I need to have a committed goal in mind. No pressure.
